Development of Zeolite-Based Smart Fertilizer Technology

Combining natural mineral resources with organic resources

Green Ceramic Co., Ltd. has developed Smart Fertilizer, a zeolite-based product that takes zeolite sourced from our own mine as its core ingredient and combines it with organic matter (compost) and Bio 7000 (a fermentation enzyme).

Building on the experience and expertise we have accumulated in zeolite-based agriculture since 2001, we are broadening the ways natural mineral resources can be used and advancing toward a comprehensive fertilizer that unites mineral-based and organic resources.

Zeolite from Our Own Mine as the Core Ingredient

At the heart of Smart Fertilizer is zeolite sourced from Green Ceramic's own mine. A natural mineral with a porous structure and strong adsorption and ion-exchange properties, zeolite has been studied—both in our own research and in related work—for its ability to help manage soil moisture and nutrients and for its potential as a fertilizer material.

Drawing on our experience developing agricultural products based on zeolite from our own mine, we have brought that expertise into Smart Fertilizer, expanding the use of this mineral material into a comprehensive fertilizer technology.

2. Combining Zeolite, Organic Matter (Compost), and Bio 7000

Smart Fertilizer is built on three core components—zeolite, organic matter (compost), and Bio 7000—blended together with NPK.

Zeolite: the product's core mineral ingredient Compost: the organic matter–based component Bio 7000: a complementary component based on fermentation enzymes (manufactured by Chilcheon Co., Ltd.)

By taking the characteristics of each component into account, we have created a product that draws on both mineral and organic resources. In doing so, we have advanced our established zeolite-based agricultural materials into a more comprehensive fertilizer product.

3. Fertilizer Technology That Considers the Soil Environment

Healthy crop growth depends not only on nutrient supply, but also on the physical and chemical properties of the soil and on managing moisture and nutrients well.

Smart Fertilizer was developed based on our own research into the agricultural potential of zeolite and on the characteristics of organic resources. Our aim is a fertilizer technology that takes both the soil environment and the foundations of agricultural production into account, delivering products that can be put to real use in the field.

4. Ongoing Quality Research and Technical Verification

Even after a product's development is complete, the work of confirming the characteristics of both raw materials and finished products and managing their quality remains essential.

Green Ceramic Co., Ltd. uses test data on its zeolite raw material as foundational reference, and manages the components and characteristics of the raw material and the finished Smart Fertilizer product separately. Going forward, we plan to confirm the product's characteristics and agricultural potential step by step, through the necessary verification—including component analysis and safety assessment of the finished product, as well as soil application and crop growth trials.
